Hamburgs steepest race

Join Germany’s largest bridge race in Hamburg! Today the start of the Köhlbrandbrückenlauf (KBL) on October 3, 2016 is only seven months away and you can still regsiter for the early bird special price until April 3, 2016.

The KBL run covers a distance of 12 kilometers and offers a one of a kind view over the city’s harbour and riverside. Start and finish are located in the container harbour. Ffrom there, runners run out and back over the KBL bridge that itself covers around 3,4 k. Start slots are very sought-after as only 5000 participants are permitted to the race. It is also your only chance to cross the bridge on foot, as it si closed off for all pedestrians the rest of the year.

4. Preparation run “Get Ready”

Join our final training run for the next Haspa Marathon Hamburg on 13 March at 10:00 AM! The location and route this time will be in the Harburger Berge in Hamburg. We are planning to meet at 09:45 AM and start running by 10:00 AM.  On the schedule this time will be our longest run so far – 30 kilometers. The run coaches of the Laufwerk Hamburg will join us again and lead you through the course in various pace groups.
Also, our partner Dextro Energy sports nutrition will make sure you are well fueled and hydrated during practice. Mizuno is going to offer to test out its newest running shoes starting at 09:00 AM. Don’t miss out – see you there!

2 months to the start!

The preparations for the 31st Haspa Marathon Hamburg are running in full swing. The start is only two months away from today. Everybody, who is still thinking about signing up – hurry up, as the deadline for registration is approaching on March 17. Sign up now and get ready for a very special sightseeing trip through the beautiful city at the Elbe river at Germany’s most beloved city-marathon.

Registration for the LOTTO Hamburg marathon relay is also still possible for you and your team. Due to runbacks we can offer a view start slots again – so don’t miss out on the chance to register your team too!

The day before the marathon race, April 16 will belong to young runners at Das Zehntel, Northern Germany’s largest junior race over a tenth of the marathon distance. All youngsters are going to start and finish on the original Haspa Marathon Hamburg line and race a course of 4,2195m. Kids aged 6 to 17 can sign up and soak up the energy, get great spectator support and feel like champions themselves at Das Zehntel on Saturday. Register now here.

3. Vorbereitungslauf an der Elbe

Dass man in Hamburg kein schlechtes Wetter kennt, sondern nur unpassande Bekleidung, bewiesen über 120 Läufer beim 3. “Get Ready” Vorbereitungslauf zum Haspa Marathon Hamburg 2016. Trotz der ungemütlichen Wetterverhältnisse kamen am Sonntag wieder viele Laufbegeisterte zusammen und begaben sich in bunter Schar zum langen Lauf entlang der Elbe.

Das Training startete diesmal in Teufelsbrück, von wo aus es erst Richtung Blankenese ging. Nach dem Wendepunkt ging es wieder zurück, an Teufelsbrück vorbei und weiter zum Fischmarkt, bevor man wieder umkehrte und am Ausgangspunkt Halt machte. Den Hafen und den Schiffsverkehr auf der Elbe stets im Blick, wurden so insgesamt ca. 20 km gelaufen. In Teufelsbrück konnten wieder Schuhe von unserem Partner Mizuno getestet werden und Dextro Energy sorgte für die Verpflegung der Sportler mit Produkten von Dextro Energy. Bei den winterlichen Temperaturen waren besonders die warmen Getränke sehr beliebt. Danke an alle, die dabei waren! Gemeinsam macht Training einfach mehr Spaß!

Der vierte und letzte Lauf der Serie “Get Ready” findet dann in den Harburger Bergen am 13. März statt!

Join us on our 3rd “Get Ready” Training Run!

Everybody is welcome to join our team when we meet up to run together this Sunday, February 14th 2016!

It is the 3rd training run of our “Get Ready” series of preparation runs for the Haspa Marathon Hamburg. On the schedule for this time is a long run along the Elbe river starting at 10:00 AM from Teufelsbrück in Hamburg. The Haspa Marathon team will be in Teufelsbrück starting from 09:00 AM  – and our partner Mizuno will offer shoe testing again.

Don’t forget to bring your stamp card in order to get special benefits for running with us!
