Registration Requirements

Any runner, handbiker or wheelchair competitor that is of legal age (youngest age allowed on 23.04.2017= 18 years old) and that is sufficiently trained and fit is allowed to participate. Nordic Walkers are not permitted!

Each participant is required to judge his/her health conditions with regards to a participation in the marathon event themselves or if necessary after consulting a doctor.

Please keep in mind that each participant is required to assess his/her own health condition and fitness with regards to taking part in the marathon event, or consult a doctor if necessary.We advise you to consult the online questionnaire by the German Road Races to evaluate your physical condition. Online Registration is closed. For late entry please come to the accreditaion desk at the Hamburg Marathon Expo Hall A1.

Discounts

  • Participants, who have successfully participated and finished in the 2016 edition will receive a voucher code  at the beginning  of  October  2016  and have  the chance to use the entry fee of only 65 € until 23 October 2016.
  • Participants, who have successfully participated and finished at least 15 times, receive a voucher of 15.00 €.
  • Participants, who have successfully participated and finished at least 20 times, receive a voucher of 20.00 €.
  • Participants, who have successfully participated and finished at least 25 times, receive a voucher of 25.00 €.
  • Participants, who have successfully participated and finished at least 30 times, receive a voucher of 30.00 €.
  • HaspaJoker-customers receive a discount of 7.50 € off their entry fee.

The discounts are only applicable for individual starters, but can be used at any point in time for the duration of the registration period.

Cancellation Insurance

As part of the registration the HanseMerkur Reiseversicherung AG and the organizer are offering you withdrawal insurance. Insurance claims are covered for cases of illness, accident or death as well as loss of workplace. A withdrawal for personal reasons, however, is not covered by the insurance.

This withdrawal insurance can exclusively be purchased until December 23 for 8.90€ (7.90€ insurance premium + 1.00€ service charge) and from December 24 for 10.90 € (9.90€ insurance premium + 1.00€ service charge) during the registration process for the Haspa Marathon Hamburg. Click here for more details on the insurance as well as the general terms and conditions of the HanseMerkur Reiseversicherung AG. Once you have purchased the insurance and are unable to participate in the event for a reason covered by the insurance, the full entry fee (WITHOUT any fees for additional services) will be refunded. In case of an insurance claim, we ask you to send the original copy of your registration confirmation as well as a written statement and an official verification (doctor’s certificate, etc.) to the insurance company HanseMerkur.

Annual insurance policy

Handbike Rankings

Eligible to participate in the race are handbikers in lying cycles and adaptive cycles in the categories H1,H2,H3. Any additional power add-ons or drives are prohibited. The victory ceremony for all men and women (H1-3) will take place after all athletes have finished.
